Guest Services Assistant

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team in a variety of front of house positions. Hours of work will vary depending on the business’s needs, so a flexible approach is necessary. Weekend and bank holiday work are a requirement of the job.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing friendly and outgoing service to all our guests.

  • Serving customers and processing cash and card sales.

  • Organising and stocking the shop, cafe and catering outlets.

  • Arranging and receiving deliveries.

  • Dealing with the daily operations of our food and beverage outlet.

  • Providing fast, friendly and outgoing service to all our guests.

  • Carrying out basic food hygiene preparation tasks.

  • Cleaning the kitchen, including washing kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls.

  • Cleaning all areas of the park, cafe, shop, toilets and some outdoor spaces.

  • Manning our play areas and bouncy castle.

About You

Guest Services assistants’ main task is to ensure guests have an enjoyable experience. As such you will need to be attentive to customers’ needs, give information about products and help them find what they are looking for. Being responsible, reliable and organised are also essential qualities.

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (Preferred)

Seasonal Walkthrough Guide

We’re looking for an outstanding communicator who shares our passion and enthusiasm for the natural world to work as a Walkthrough Guide here at Manor Wildlife Park.

As a Walkthrough Guide, you will be responsible for engaging with the thousands of customers who come to the park over the summer months. As well as this, you’ll be tasked with ensuring walkthroughs animal habitats are kept clean and tidy, as well as supporting our animal keeping team with their daily tasks.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in customer-facing roles as well as a background in animal management or biological science.

This is a temporary, seasonal role for 2022
